Strawberries Around the Fountain

Strawberry shortcakes with handmade vanilla ice cream from The Brown House and biscuits from The Deli at Sixth and Main will be sold for $10 each. No ticket necessary – first come, first served, until sold out. There will be a limited amount of gluten friendly biscuits available as a substitute for regular biscuits in the shortcakes. Hotdogs and water will be given out for free, thanks to donations from The Auburn Moose Lodge and Mettert’s WaterCare.

This year will see the return of old favorites and some new additions to the strawberry event. Music will be provided by Auburn’s Main Street Porch Band, with a special guest set by Auburn native Anna Muckenfuss. Activities at this year’s event include a special Friends of EPL Book Sale, face painting from Mystic Brush, fun outdoor games from Y on the Fly, two horse drawn wagons providing rides to and from downtown, and a bounce house. There will also be a special art project activity. EPL’s Main Library will be open until 8:00 pm on the day of the event.
In the case of inclement weather, the backup location is the gymnasium at McKenney-Harrison Elementary School. If bad weather occurs, the decision to move the event indoors will be made by midday on the day of the event.

This is a fundraiser for the Friends of EPL. All profits will help Eckhart Public Library continue to provide quality programming for the community.
